Preparing to Move In

Congratulations on your new home. Here is everything you need to do before, during, and after move-in day to get settled smoothly.

Before Move-in Day

First month's rent and security deposit are due at lease signing.
Check your lease for utility responsibilities. If you need to set up utilities in your name, we recommend doing this at least five business days before your move-in date to avoid any gaps in service.
Common local utility providers for reference:
- Electric: Columbia REA or Pacific Power (depends on location)
- Gas: Cascade Natural Gas
- Water/Sewer: City of Walla Walla or City of College Place
- Trash: Basin Disposal Services
Set up your resident portal account at welcomehps.appfolio.com/connect. You will use this to pay rent and submit maintenance requests.

Complete your move-in inspection with our team.
Document the current condition of the property. Note any existing damage or wear so it is on record before you settle in.
Collect your keys.
Test all locks, lights, and appliances to make sure everything is working properly.
