Preparing to Move In
Congratulations on your new home. Here is everything you need to do before, during, and after move-in day to get settled smoothly.
Before Move-in Day
- First month's rent and security deposit are due at lease signing.
- Check your lease for utility responsibilities. If you need to set up utilities in your name, we recommend doing this at least five business days before your move-in date to avoid any gaps in service.
- Common local utility providers for reference:
- Electric: Columbia REA or Pacific Power (depends on location)
- Gas: Cascade Natural Gas
- Water/Sewer: City of Walla Walla or City of College Place
- Trash: Basin Disposal Services
- Set up your resident portal account at welcomehps.appfolio.com/connect. You will use this to pay rent and submit maintenance requests.
On Move-in Day
- Complete your move-in inspection with our team.
- Document the current condition of the property. Note any existing damage or wear so it is on record before you settle in.
- Collect your keys.
- Test all locks, lights, and appliances to make sure everything is working properly.
After Moving In
- Familiarize yourself with your resident portal for rent payments and maintenance requests.
- Save our office number: (509) 525-1040.
- Review your lease for any property-specific rules or guidelines.
