Information Stored on Your Device

When you use the Express Interest form on a listing page, we save certain information to your browser's localStorage under the key rentw2_profile. This may include your name, email address, phone number, monthly income, rental history, credit score, employment status, and household composition. This information is stored locally on your device so we can pre-populate the form if you inquire about additional listings, saving you from re-entering the same details.

This saved information is never transmitted to our servers unless you actively submit the form by clicking Express Interest. You can remove it at any time by clicking the Clear saved info link in the review card on any listing page, or by clearing your browser's localStorage through your browser settings.

Visitor Cookie (`rentw2_vid`)

When you submit an inquiry through the Express Interest form, our server sets a first-party cookie named rentw2_vid in your browser. This cookie contains an opaque, randomly generated identifier (a UUID) that helps us recognize returning visitors. Its purpose is to prevent duplicate guest cards from being created in our leasing system when you inquire about multiple listings across separate browsing sessions.

This cookie is scoped to rentw2.com and its subdomains. It is not shared with any third parties. It expires after up to 400 days, which is the maximum lifetime permitted for first-party cookies in modern browsers.

Clearing the rentw2_vid cookie does not affect your saved applicant information in localStorage, and vice versa — the two are independent. You can remove this cookie at any time through your browser's cookie settings.

SMS / Text Message Communications

Welcome Home Properties sends transactional text (SMS) messages to individuals who opt in. These messages are operational and account-related only; we do not send marketing or promotional SMS.

Message types: rent and payment reminders, maintenance request updates, lease and document signing notifications, showing and appointment confirmations, and account or service notifications.

Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on your account activity and the nature of your interactions with us.

How to opt in: You may opt in to receive SMS messages from Welcome Home Properties by (1) providing verbal consent to our staff, (2) checking the SMS consent box on a form on this website, (3) signing a lease or other written agreement that includes an SMS consent provision, or (4) enrolling through the AppFolio resident portal.

How to opt out: You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any text message you receive from us. After you send STOP, we will send you a confirmation message and no further messages will be sent, except as required to complete the opt-out.

Mobile information sharing (10DLC disclosure): No mobile information (including phone numbers collected for SMS) will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
