Maintenance Requests
We want to keep your home in great shape. If something needs attention, we are here to help. Before submitting a request, check whether a quick fix might solve the problem.
Before You Submit a Request
Many common issues have simple solutions you can try first.
Check for blockages. If a plunger does not resolve the issue, check the flapper valve inside the tank. Lift the lid and make sure the flapper is sealing properly. If neither of these steps works, submit a maintenance request.
Determine whether the issue affects one outlet or your entire home. Check your electrical panel and reset any tripped breakers. If a breaker trips again immediately, do not reset it again — submit a maintenance request. If the entire home has no power, contact your electric company first to confirm there is no outage in your area.
Check your water heater's thermostat setting — it should be set to approximately 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Make sure the unit has not been switched to "vacation" mode. For electric water heaters, check the breaker in your electrical panel. If none of these steps resolve the issue, submit a maintenance request.
Verify your thermostat is set to the desired temperature and has fresh batteries. Confirm the system is set to the correct mode (heat or cool). Check your air filter and replace it if it has not been changed recently — a clogged filter can prevent the system from working properly. If the system still does not respond, submit a maintenance request.
- Replace burned-out lightbulbs.
- Replace smoke detector batteries (usually 9V).
- Clear slow drains with a plunger or drain cleaner.
- Adjust your refrigerator temperature dial if food is freezing or not staying cold enough.
