Move-in & Move-out
Common questions about getting settled in your new home and preparing to move out. For full checklists, visit our move-in and move-out pages.
Bring a valid photo ID and any remaining funds due. We will walk through the property together for your move-in inspection, so bring a phone or camera to document the condition of the home.
Contact each utility provider directly to set up service in your name. We recommend doing this at least five business days before your move-in date. Your lease or our team can provide a list of local providers for your area. Visit our move-in checklist for more details.
The required notice period is specified in your lease agreement. Review your lease and submit your notice to vacate in writing through your resident portal or by contacting our office.
We expect the home to be returned in the same condition it was in when you moved in, minus normal wear and tear. This includes cleaning all appliances, bathrooms, and windows (inside), patching nail holes, removing all personal belongings and trash, and having carpets professionally shampooed. See our move-out page for a detailed breakdown.
